As we get closer to the spooky season and day known as Halloween, I wanted to make an extra special post to wish my viewers a safe and happy Halloween. Try to not eat too many sweets, but have enough to make the best of the spooky season. Whether you’re young or older, we all deserve to treat ourselves sometimes right?

Since I’m 25 years old now, I don’t go trick or treating  but I still help my parents hand out candy  and dress up. Every year, my parents and I try changing what we do, but kids look forward to coming back to our house because of what we do, so we can’t change it that much!

We have made a  Halloween carnival where kids can win their treats by playing games. We used to have two games, one where you rolled a tennis  ball down a slanted ramp and at the end of the ramp there were numbers that went up to 3, plus one space that said ghost. If your ball landed there,  it meant you got zero treats. When kids got that, they could roll again. We still have that game, but don’t really put it out anymore because it’s not as popular as the other game we have.

The other game we have is a spinning wheel, made from one of my old wheelchair wheels, and this one also has numbers as well as a special space where you can lose all the candy you have! You would be surprised how many kids land there, and are willing to give us their bag! When they get that, they get another chance to win candy, and sometimes we give those kids extra candy because we feel bad for where they landed the first time. The kids love this game so much that they ask where the wheel is before Halloween, and can’t wait to get to our house just to spin the wheel!

Besides talking about what my parents and I do for Halloween each year, I wanted to include some of the things or characters I have been over the years when I went trick or treating with my Mom, there have been a lot of different costumes!  Some of them include Wonder Women, Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, the solar system, and anime characters! I think all my costumes have been homemade including this year’s, which is a surprise!

Happy Halloween everyone!
